Bhubaneswar, Nov 5 (UDN): A special programme dedicated to the farmers and food providers of the nation was organised on the occasion of PM-KISAN Utsav Day. During the programme, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi transferred more than ₹700 crore to over 35 lakh farmers under the 24th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme.
At the district level, the occasion was observed through a special programme focusing on farmers’ welfare, empowerment and agricultural development. Various discussions and initiatives were undertaken to highlight measures for improving farmers’ livelihoods, strengthening their economic conditions and promoting their overall development.
The programme reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting farmers and strengthening the agricultural sector through welfare schemes and development initiatives.
