Koraput,: A Pension Court for Koraput and Malkangiri districts was recently held at the Sadbhavana Conference Hall in Koraput under the leadership of Nihar Ranjan Dash, Director of Pension Grievances and Principal Secretary, General Administration Department.
The event reviewed over 500 pending pension cases from both districts, and officers were directed to resolve the cases immediately. Discussions were held with 72 pensioners from Koraput and 9 from Malkangiri, and their grievances were addressed and resolved on the spot.
The State Government has instructed that final pension benefits must be provided on the day of retirement. For cases with ongoing legal or administrative issues, officials were urged to resolve them before retirement, ensuring final pension disbursement without delay.
During the public grievance hearing, various complaints and legal challenges were reviewed. Mr. Dash instructed departmental officers to handle complaints and grievances from the public with utmost care and diligence, resolving them through such hearings.

The Pension Court was organized through joint efforts of the General Administration Department and Principal Accountant General, with full cooperation from officials and staff of the Koraput district administration.
