Bhubaneswar, Sept 8 [UDN}:In a significant and forward-looking initiative aimed at strengthening higher education and preparing young people for the rapidly changing demands of the modern world, the Government of Odisha is taking a major step towards promoting Artificial Intelligence and skill-based education among students. Under this important initiative, more than one lakh students will be given the opportunity to learn and develop knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The programme is expected to help students understand emerging technologies and acquire the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world. AI has become one of the most important fields shaping industries, education, employment and innovation, and providing students with exposure to this rapidly growing sector is being seen as a major step towards preparing Odisha’s youth for future career opportunities.
In addition to AI education, around 1.25 lakh students will receive specialised skill training under the broader initiative. The training is expected to focus on improving practical knowledge, professional abilities and employability skills, enabling students to become better prepared for the requirements of various industries and emerging employment sectors.
This major initiative represents an important step forward for higher education in Odisha.
