Bhubaneswar,  July 6 {UDN}:  Following a positive discussion held today at Lok Seva Bhawan, members of the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) have agreed to withdraw their ongoing protest. Prioritizing the health and well-being of the public, the association decided to suspend its agitation and resume normal healthcare services across the state.
Welcoming the decision, the state government assured that the demands raised by OMSA would be examined at the earliest and that appropriate, positive steps would be taken to address their concerns.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Brunda D., Director of the National Health Mission, Odisha; Mahesh Mohan Panda, Director of Health Services; Gourahari Behera, Additional Chief Secretary; along with OMSA President Dr. Kishore Chandra Mishra, General Secretary Dr. Sanjeeb Kumar Pradhan, and other office-bearers of the association.
The development is expected to restore normal medical services and strengthen cooperation between the government and the medical fraternity in the interest of public healthcare.
