Bhubaneswar, July 14 [UDN}:The Higher Education Department has released a revised schedule for the +3 (Undergraduate) admission process in Odisha. Students who have already submitted their applications will now be allowed to edit or modify their applications and even add new educational institutions to their choice list without paying any additional fee.
Students who have applied by July 12 will be eligible to participate in the choice filling process, according to an official notification issued by the department.
Earlier, the academic session for first-year undergraduate students was scheduled to begin on July 9, but the department has now revised the date, and classes will commence from July 27, 2026 instead.
The publication of the second merit list, which was earlier expected on June 29, had been postponed and will now be released on a new date as per the revised schedule.
Revised Admission Schedule:

According to the Higher Education Department, students who secured admission in the first round will also be allowed to make changes to their choices. Even those who had selected the “Freeze” option can now switch to “Slide” or “Float” options if they wish to participate in further rounds of counselling. In such cases, their earlier admission will automatically stand cancelled, and they will be considered for fresh allotment in subsequent rounds.
Similarly, candidates who had previously selected Freeze, Float, or Alter options can add new institutions to their preference list during the modification period.
If any applicant chooses not to make changes to their application, the options submitted earlier will continue to be considered for merit-based selection.
The department has also taken steps to ensure that students can easily access information related to the admission process and free education schemes. Additionally, students seeking admission to regular courses will be required to submit an online consent form during the admission process.
