Odisha Reels Under Intense Heatwave as Temperatures Continue to Soar Across Several Districts

Bhubaneswar, May 22:  The heat is expected to intensify further today.
The entire state of Odisha is reeling under unbearable heat.
Temperatures are likely to rise by another 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
An alert has been issued for the whole state for today.
Orange alert has been issued for 9 districts, while the remaining 21 districts are under yellow alert.
Daily life has been severely affected due to hot winds and extreme heat.
The intensity of the heat has been increasing since 9 AM.
Yesterday, Jharsuguda recorded the highest temperature at 44.8°C, making it the hottest city in the state.
Temperatures in 18 cities remained above 40°C.
