Bhubaneswar, Oct. 4 (UDN): Although the date for the upcoming college elections in Odisha is yet to be announced, campuses across Bhubaneswar and other parts of the state have already begun showing signs of election activity, with banners and posters appearing at several institutions.
Campuses Take on Election Colours
With no official schedule announced so far, the early appearance of posters has sparked speculation among students about when the election process will formally begin.
College walls, notice boards and other prominent campus locations have reportedly started displaying banners and promotional material linked to prospective candidates and student groups.
Students Await Official Schedule
The absence of a confirmed election date has left many students waiting for clarity on the timing of the polls. The formal announcement is expected to determine the nomination process, campaigning period and voting schedule.
Student groups are likely to intensify their preparations once the authorities announce the election calendar.
Early Campaigning Draws Attention
The appearance of campaign material before the official date has also raised questions about adherence to campus rules governing posters, banners and election-related activities.
College administrations are expected to monitor such activities and ensure that campus guidelines are followed as preparations gather pace.
For now, however, the election buzz has begun well ahead of the official announcement, signalling growing anticipation among students across Odisha.
