Odisha Cabinet Approves “Odisha Archaeological Curator Service Rules, 2026” to Strengthen Protection and Management of Heritage Sites Across the State

Bhubaneswar,May 26:  The “Odisha Archaeological Curator Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2026” has been approved in the Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister. This initiative will help streamline the protection, preservation, and management of the state’s temples, monuments, and archaeological heritage sites. It will also provide a new direction for research activities and the promotion and dissemination of Odisha’s rich cultural heritage.

The newly approved rules are expected to strengthen the administrative framework for archaeological conservation in the state.
