Nabarangpur: As part of the “Odia Week” celebration, the Nabarangpur District Administration and Labour Department jointly organized an awareness rally to promote the use of Odia language on nameplates of shops and commercial establishments.
The campaign was flagged off from the premises of the District Collector’s office, with District Collector Dr. Shubankar Mahapatra leading the event. Additional District Collector (Revenue) Bishwajit Barman and Additional District Collector (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia also participated by flagging off the awareness chariot.
Prominent attendees included Regional Labour Commissioner Kuber Behera, District Information and Public Relations Officer Manoj Kumar Behera, District Welfare Officer Rabindra Palaka, District Culture Officer, Labour Officer Chhotaray Tudu, retired Assistant Labour Officer Padma Charan Panda, all Assistant Labour Officers and staff of the Labour Department, trade union leaders, members of the Chamber of Commerce, unorganized laborers, and representatives from the media. The program saw wide participation from across the city of Nabarangpur.
