Jharsuguda: A nutrition awareness program was organized at the Sarasamal Kaharpada Anganwadi Knowledge Centre, located in Orda Panchayat of Laikera Block, Jharsuguda district.
The program was held under the chairpersonship of CDPO (Child Development Project Officer) Sandhyarani Sahu. Among the attendees were Mamta PA Nibedita Bag, Sector Supervisor Santosini Mahapatra, Anganwadi Worker Jousna Mahananda, Helper Mamata Ping, and Head Teacher Padmini Karali.
The event saw the participation of pregnant women, mothers of children, adolescent girls, and all Anganwadi workers from the Kaharpada center.
The session focused on spreading awareness about the importance of the Knowledge Centre and the objectives of the nutrition program. During the program, CDPO Sandhyarani Sahu performed traditional Godbharai (baby shower) and Annaprashan (first solid feeding) rituals to demonstrate the cultural and health-related significance of these practices.
She also inspired the Anganwadi workers to dedicate themselves sincerely to their duties and make effective use of the Knowledge Centre for the benefit of the community. The overall objective of the event was to accelerate the implementation of Anganwadi services and improve awareness regarding child and maternal nutrition.
