No Disconnection for Pending Electricity Bills: Consumer-Friendly Move Introduced

Bhubaneswar: Consumers who fail to pay their electricity bills will not have their power disconnected, as per the directive issued by Minister Suresh Pujari in preparation for tackling the summer heatwave. Instructions have been given not to disconnect electricity for consumers who have not paid their bills. Unannounced power cuts are also prohibited. Non-functional tube wells will be repaired within 48 hours, as stated by the Minister. Shelter homes will be arranged for domestic and stray animals.
