Dhamanada: A bus service has been launched from the famous Madhava Peetha, located in the Prachi region, to Puri Shree Kshetra (Lord Jagannath Temple). Local residents had long been demanding the introduction of regular bus services from Madhava Peetha to Puri for easy access to the temple.
Responding to public demand, the government has started three battery-operated buses running from Madhava Peetha to Puri, covering the route through Charichhak, Gopa, and Bali Ghai roads. These buses will operate at one-hour intervals, and passengers will be able to travel from Madhava Peetha to Puri Shree Kshetra and back.
This new service is expected to benefit pilgrims, tourists, and devotees visiting the Puri Shree Kshetra to have darshan (viewing) of Lord Jagannath. They can also visit the Madhavananda Temple, which is well known in the Prachi region as the “Mamu Ghar” (uncle’s house) of Lord Jagannath. The local community is thrilled with the launch of this service, and it is expected to bring greater convenience for travelers heading to Puri.
