Malkangiri:  Nov 6   (UDN):   At a time when the Andhra Pradesh Government has reportedly decided to conduct elections in the remote Jumdang village, located along the Andhra Pradesh border, the Malkangiri district administration organised a special public grievance redressal and service delivery camp in the village under the leadership of the District Collector.

With the objective of ensuring that residents of the border village receive government services as an integral part of Odisha and Malkangiri district, the District Collector, along with all senior district-level officials, personally visited the village and participated in the special camp.

During the programme, the officials patiently heard various grievances and concerns raised by the villagers and initiated steps for their prompt resolution. Through the camp, several government welfare schemes, public services and essential facilities were directly extended to the residents, ensuring that people in this remote and strategically important border region could access government services without difficulty.

The initiative aimed to strengthen public confidence in the Malkangiri district administration and reinforce the connection of border residents with the Odisha Government. It also sought to encourage villagers to refrain from participating in the elections being conducted by Andhra Pradesh and reaffirm their association with Odisha.
