Major Jolt to AAP: Raghav Chadha, Six MPs Switch to BJP

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Chadha stated that nearly two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs are part of this move, calling it a significant political shift. He cited ideological differences and alleged deviation of the party from its founding principles as the primary reasons behind the decision.

“The party has strayed from its path, values, and commitment to nation-building. I felt I was in the wrong party,” Chadha said, adding that he chose not to be associated with activities he termed as “wrongdoing.”

Chadha further stated that he and his colleagues faced a choice between leaving politics altogether or continuing public service through what he described as “positive politics,” ultimately opting for the latter.

The development marks a major setback for AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, and is expected to have significant implications for the party’s presence in the Rajya Sabha.

Further political reactions and developments are awaited as the situation unfolds.
