LTAR Exam Scheduled for March 23: Candidates Prepare

Bhubaneswar: The Preliminary Examination for the Live Training Reserve Teacher (LTAR) will be conducted on March 23. The exam will be held across the state on a single day, and candidates will take the test offline in OMR mode. This information has been released by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).

However, candidates applying for Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu, Urdu, and Physical Education Teacher (PET) positions have been exempted from the preliminary exam and will directly appear for the main examination.

For the TGT Arts teacher position, the preliminary exam will include questions from all subjects. Some candidates have raised concerns that those who have independently pursued B.Ed. in these subjects might be at a disadvantage. There were also apprehensions that candidates with a B.Ed. in other subjects might secure positions as Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu, Urdu, and PET teachers.

Due to opposition from candidates, the OSSC has taken this decision to maintain fairness in the recruitment process.
