Bhubaneswar, April 16(BNP): The ongoing LPG supply crisis has intensified in several parts of Odisha, with consumers reporting non-availability of cylinders even after placing bookings.
Many households have complained of long delays in delivery, forcing them to wait for extended periods despite confirmed orders. The situation has caused significant inconvenience, particularly for daily cooking needs.
Amid the shortage, allegations of black marketing have also surfaced, with reports suggesting that cylinders are being sold at higher prices in the open market.
Officials have acknowledged the issue and said steps are being taken to streamline supply and ensure timely delivery. Authorities have also warned of strict action against those involved in illegal practices such as hoarding and black marketing.
Consumers have been urged to report any irregularities to the concerned authorities to help curb malpractice.
The crisis has highlighted the need for better supply chain management and stricter monitoring to prevent exploitation of consumers.
