Kotpad, June 22 {UDN}: A condolence meeting was organized by the Citizens’ Committee at the Gopabandhu Library premises in Kotpad following the demise of retired teacher Bijay Sadangi.

The meeting was presided over by retired teacher and cine artist Prakash Mohanty. Residents of the town paid heartfelt tributes to the departed soul. Speakers remembered the late Sadangi’s dedicated service as a teacher, his significant contributions to the teachers’ association, and his notable work in the field of social service.

The speakers remarked that Sadangi’s contributions would remain immortal in the teaching community and that he would always be remembered for his commitment to education and society.

Among those present were NAC Chairman Shankar Rao, Library President Ganesh Chandra Panda, Manohar Bishoi, Press Club President Pankaj Kumar Patra, Citizens’ Committee Secretary Gouri Pattnaik, Narasingha Sethi, Kishore Mishra, Sanjukta Mahapatra, Hemanta Patra, Teachers’ Association President Dhiraj Bhatra, Maleswar Rao, along with several intellectuals, journalists, retired teachers, and members of the teaching fraternity of the town.

The meeting concluded with members expressing deep sorrow over the loss and offering their condolences to the bereaved family.
