Koraput, July 6 {UDN}: Good news for the people of Koraput! A new direct train service between Koraput and Puri will commence from July 6, making travel to the holy city of Puri much easier and more convenient for residents of southern Odisha.
The new train, numbered 18407/18408, will operate on the route Koraput – Rayagada – Sambalpur – Bhubaneswar – Puri, connecting several important destinations across the state.
The service will run three days a week, providing passengers with a comfortable and direct travel option without the need to change trains.
This long-awaited rail link is expected to greatly benefit devotees visiting Jagannath Temple in Puri, as well as tourists and regular travelers. It is also likely to improve regional connectivity and boost tourism and economic activities across southern Odisha.
