Koraput Joins Nationwide ‘Education for All’ Mini Marathon Organized by KISS

Jeypore: A “Mini Marathon for Education for All” was organized in Koraput by KISS and KIIT. The marathon was flagged off by SP Abhinav Sonkar. The race began at the Police Parade Ground and proceeded along National Highway 26, concluding at the Women’s College.

Students from various schools and colleges, intellectuals, journalists, police personnel, administrators, and hundreds of citizens participated enthusiastically in the marathon. At the Women’s College, a discussion session was held on the theme “Education for All” under the chairmanship of senior journalist Kirtichandra Sahu.

Somnath Pradhan, Additional District Magistrate, attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Balabhadra Deep, Additional SP, Benudhar Sabar, Koraput Sub-Collector, and Professor Rabi Shatapathy were present as honored guests.

Among other dignitaries on the stage were Sunita Muduli, President of the KISS Parents’ Association (Koraput), Parshuram Samartha, and Bhavani Shankar Mishra, President of the Press Club. The attending dignitaries praised Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KISS and KIIT, for his sacrifice and dedication to society.

They advised students to not only pursue education but to also become cultured individuals. Inspired by the example of Dr. Samanta, they encouraged the students to dedicate themselves to serving the underprivileged and to become beacons of light in society.

During the event, the KISS Parents’ Association honored the guests with mementos. Senior journalist Kirtichandra Sahu explained the purpose and importance of the marathon. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Manas Mahanti, Koraput District Coordinator of KISS, to all the dignitaries and student participants.
