Kharki Ashram School Celebrates Annual Festival with Enthusiasm and Devotion

Papadahandi: The annual festival of Kharki Government Ashram School under Papadahandi block in Nabarangpur district was celebrated with great enthusiasm. The event began with the lighting of a lamp and floral offerings to Lord Ganesha by the guests, followed by a welcome song and dance performed by young girl students of the school.

The annual festival was organized under the chairmanship of the school’s headmistress, Saraswati Behera. She presented the annual report and highlighted the need for additional classrooms and boundary walls for the school, drawing the attention of the attending dignitaries.

The chief guest, Dabugaon MLA Monahor Randhari, graced the event, while Ravindra, the district welfare officer in charge, was the keynote speaker. Other distinguished guests included Papadahandi Block Vice-Chairman Sushant Kumar Behera, District Parishad Member Yoshabandhu Nayak, Local Sarpanch Sumitra Majhi, MP Representative Samanath Pujari, MLA Representative Rajanikant Sasamal, SMC Chairman December Majhi, Additional District Welfare Officers Bharat Chandra Sahu and Nivedita Bishwal, Papadahandi Block Welfare Expansion Officer Debabrata Parida, Senior Advocate Harinarayan Behera, Senior Social Worker Sukanta Satapathy, and headmasters from various schools of the block, including Sanrus Tripathi, Khema Garada, Surendra Nayak, Dhiren Kumar Das, Prabhati Behera, and Francis Nasisa Nag.

During the event, speakers emphasized that parents are like living gods, and students should respect them to achieve greatness in the future. They also addressed the students as princes and princesses, motivating them to excel in life.

The event featured various cultural performances by the students. In the concluding ceremony, outstanding students were awarded certificates and shields by the esteemed guests in recognition of their achievements.
