Phulbani :After assuming charge, K. Nuagaon Block BDO P. Subhranjali visited the remote villages of Bali Geda Panchayat in Kandhamal district. During her visit, she interacted with local residents to understand their issues and concerns. She reviewed the ongoing housing projects under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Antodaya Housing Scheme, and advised the responsible parties to ensure their speedy completion.
She also discussed problems related to roads and drinking water, emphasizing the need for timely solutions. The BDO visited several residential schools under the block to observe teaching practices and assess the quality of meals being prepared and served to students.
Keeping the drought situation in mind, she advised setting up clean drinking water facilities at various locations.
Known for being a proactive officer, the BDO is often found in the field rather than in her office, directly engaging with villagers to understand their problems. This approach has spared villagers from making unnecessary trips to the block office, saving them both time and money. People are appreciative of her efforts, saying, “A BDO should be like this.”
