Puri, April 14: The Jagannath Temple will be illuminated with a special lighting system at an estimated cost of Rs18 crore.
An important meeting regarding this project was held at the temple office.
The four gates of the temple and the Meghanada Prachira (outer wall) will be illuminated.
Lighting arrangements will also cover the Jagamohan, Natamandap, and Ananda Bazaar areas.
Idols of Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Bimala, and other surrounding deities will also be beautifully illuminated.
Devotees will experience a completely new visual and spiritual ambiance.
The project is targeted to be completed within three to four months.
