Sambalpur An Inter-District Pension Adalat (court) was held at the District Council Conference Hall in Sambalpur under the initiative of the Odisha Government’s Department of General Administration and Public Grievance, in collaboration with the Principal Accountant General.
Over 500 pensioners and beneficiaries from Sambalpur, Bargarh, Deogarh, and Jharsuguda districts attended the event to seek redressal of their long-pending pension-related issues. The court received 217 pension-related grievances, 269 cases related to General Provident Fund (GPF), and 81 pertaining to gratuity and retirement benefits.
At the beginning of the program, the AG office showcased the status and reasons behind pending pension, gratuity, provident fund, and related benefits, along with potential resolutions.
Among the dignitaries present were Sambalpur Collector Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar, Director of General Administration and Public Grievance Nihar Ranjan Dash, Deputy Accountant General Sanjay Kumar, Additional Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell Prafulla Kumar Swain, Municipal Commissioner Vedabhushan, Additional District Magistrate Sudhanshu Kumar Bhoi, Deputy Director of Accounts Asit Kumar Pani, Senior Accounts Officers Manoranjan Panigrahi and Sudam Sethy.
Other officials like Assistant Accounts Officers Manish Kumar, Soumyaranjan Maharana, Purushottam Bal, Jami Sanjay Kumar, and Kaushik Kumar Kabi, along with other senior district administration officers, helped manage and conduct the proceedings.
