Innovative “Let’s Buy a Book” Campaign Launched by Malkangiri District Administration

Malkangiri, April 16: An innovative campaign titled “Aasa Bahitie Kiniba” (Let’s Buy a Book) was successfully organized by the district administration of Malkangiri district on the occasion of the 9th day of Odia Language Fortnight, observed as per the state government’s guidelines.
The campaign aimed to turn book reading into a mass movement. District Collector Prathamesh Arvind Rajshirkhe urged everyone to actively participate and make the initiative successful.
A special book exhibition was organized in front of the Collector’s office premises, where local vendor Ram Krishna Choudhury displayed a wide variety of books catering to different interests.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that books are the light of knowledge and a true reflection of our culture. He emphasized that if students develop a habit of reading, it will help in building a knowledgeable and progressive society.

All of them participated in the event by purchasing books.
The initiative was highly appreciated for its role in promoting and preserving Odia language and literature. A large number of students from various educational institutions also attended the event, bought books of their choice, and showed keen interest in reading.
