Koraput: As many as six headmistresses, one assistant teacher, and one headmaster under the Jeypore Cluster Education Office in Koraput district were scheduled to retire on 31st May 2025. Among them, one headmistress, Pramila Mahanti, had unfortunately passed away in December last year. Following the submission of her death certificate and legal heir certificate, her husband, Nabin Bisoyi, was granted family pension, earned leave salary, and insurance amount by the office.
Today, five headmistresses, one assistant teacher, and one headmaster officially retired from service. The retiring headmistresses are Arati Mishra, Pratibha Sadhangi, Sanyukta Tripathy, Pankajini Sahu, and Sabita Rani Mandal. They were issued provisional pension orders by the Cluster Education Office, and their pension papers have been sent to the Accounts Officer for early approval.
Another retiring teacher, Netramani Chinara, is under the New Pension Scheme (NPS), and her benefit proposal has been prepared and sent to the Accounts Officer in Bhubaneswar.
On the other hand, Indra Pradhan, Headmaster of Pujariguda Primary School, received his full pension order even before his retirement. His pension was approved a month in advance by the Controller of Accounts in Bhubaneswar.
According to Chandan Kumar Nayak, Cluster Education Officer of Jeypore, Mr. Pradhan is a dedicated and punctual teacher who made significant contributions to the field of education. His clean service record helped expedite the approval of his full pension in record time, according to office sources.
The pension order distribution ceremony, held at 1 PM, saw the presence of several departmental officials, including Pahmeshwar Bisoyi, senior assistant and establishment staff Shashi Bhushan Dash, accountant Santanu Jena, Ranjit Mahanti, Manoj Pattnayak, Lipsa Murli Sahu, Sunita Nayak, Subhashree Patra, Ramesh Palaka, Kamalu Nayak, and Kiran Maharana.
