Fill Vacant Posts in Primary Schools Urgently, Demand Educators and Parents

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Primary School Teachers’ Association (PISTA) has submitted a memorandum to the Commissioner of the Mass Education Department and the Secretary of Administration, Shalini Pandit, demanding the filling of vacant posts in primary schools and the cancellation of the Unified Automation System.

In the memorandum, the association stated that with the inclusion of Class 8 and pre-primary (Shishu Batika) classes in the primary education system, it is essential to immediately appoint regular teachers to the existing vacant posts.

They also emphasized that since many teachers still lack access to mobile phones and internet facilities, the Unified Automation System should be canceled at this point.

The memorandum was submitted under the leadership of Association President Brahmananda Maharana, along with General Secretary Bibhu Prasad Sahu, Executive President, and a three-member delegation.
