Khordha, It has come to light that an electric pole stands in the middle of the road connecting Bhajagada village to Benta village and the National Highway under Tangi Block. The residents of Mangala Jodi, Bhajagada, Sundarpur, and Balipatapur panchayats frequently use this road. Especially, farmers from Panipari use this road to reach Chandpur market to sell their produce. As a result, traveling on this road has become highly dangerous. At any moment, an accident could occur, potentially costing lives.
Earlier, when this was a narrow mud road, the electric pole stood on the side. Later, the Rural Development Department widened and paved the road. However, the contractor did not relocate the electric pole while expanding the road, leaving it in the middle.
As a result, the electric pole now stands right in the center of the road. Particularly at night, cyclists and bikers face great difficulties. The general public is demanding the immediate removal of the electric pole from the middle of the road and its relocation to the side.
