DRM Assures Smooth Railway Services for Kumbh Mela, Urges Devotees to Ignore Rumors

Prayagraj: During a press conference, Rayagada DRM Amitabh Singhal provided updates on railway services for the Maha Kumbh Mela. Since January 13, Indian Railways has been operating special train services to facilitate travel to Prayagraj from different parts of the country.

Yesterday, 330 trains were running for the Kumbh Mela, carrying approximately 1.3 million passengers. Today, by afternoon, more than 200 trains had already been in operation, transporting around 900,000 passengers to Prayagraj. DRM Singhal stated that, along with regular trains, several special trains have also been deployed for the event.

To accommodate the massive influx of devotees, arrangements have been made at Prayagraj railway station and seven nearby stations, ensuring all necessary facilities for travelers. These include announcements for train schedules, drinking water availability, and other essential services.

Addressing concerns over false reports circulating in some media houses regarding station closures, DRM Singhal urged people not to believe such rumors. Instead, he encouraged more people to travel to Prayagraj and take a holy dip in the sacred waters. Indian Railways has ensured smooth train operations for the event.
