Nabarangpur,July 14 [UDN}: A district-level preparatory meeting was held this afternoon at the Mission Shakti Conference Hall in Nabarangpur to ensure the smooth, safe, and harmonious conduct of the upcoming holy Rath Yatra (Ghosa Yatra) 2026. The meeting was chaired by Additional District Magistrate (General) Dr. Pramod Kumar Prusti.
Addressing the meeting, Dr. Prusti stated that Rath Yatra is one of the district’s major religious and cultural festivals. Since a large number of devotees are expected to participate in the sacred event, he emphasized the need for effective coordination among all departments to ensure that all preparations are completed efficiently and on time.
He further directed the concerned departments to give top priority to public safety, convenience, and uninterrupted darshan arrangements for devotees during the festival.
Additional discussions focused on crowd management, traffic regulation, sanitation, drinking water facilities, and emergency response measures to ensure the successful celebration of the festival in a peaceful atmosphere.
