District-Level Development Fair Celebrated with Enthusiasm in Jeypore

Jeypore:  To mark the completion of one year of the state government, a week-long District-Level Development Fair was celebrated at the local Police Parade Ground. Each day featured various cultural programs. On the first day, MLA Raghuram Mach inaugurated the event. On the 16th, the Chief Guest was state government representative Mallick.

The program was held under the direct supervision of District Collector V. Keerthi Vasan. Notable attendees included Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhattara, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sasmita Meleka, Director of Grievance Redressal and Odisha General Administration Department’s Secretary Nihar Ranjan Das, Koraput SP Rohit Verma, Additional District Collectors Tapan Kumar Nayak and Dwi Prasad Mahanti, Minister of Fisheries and Animal Resources Gokulananda, Koraput Block Chairperson Namita Majhi, Koraput Municipality Chairperson Lalat Ranjan Sethi, Sunabeda Municipality Chairperson Rajendra Patra, District Development Officer and Executive Officer Benudhar Sabar, District Planning and Monitoring Deputy Director Suryakant Behera, Koraput Municipality Executive Officer Gyanajit Tripathy, Koraput BDO Debashish Gouda, and ORMAS Executive Officer Rosan, among others.

A total of 70 stalls were set up by ORMAS, leading to a business turnover of ₹97 lakhs. This benefited various self-help groups and farmer producer organizations in the Koraput district. Alongside this, a Subhadra Traditional Food Fair was organized, where traditional delicacies were displayed and sold.

As the fair coincided with Odisha’s popular festival Raja, the public enjoyed swings, games, and various cultural programs. The Development Fair, held to commemorate the state government’s one-year completion, has become a widely appreciated and notable initiative among the general public.
