Nabarangpur, May 23: Students who secured the highest marks in the district in the +2 Science, Arts and Commerce Annual Examination 2026 conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary.
Education (CHSE), Odisha, were felicitated today by District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain at the local Ashok Mehta Conference Hall.
In the Science stream, Sameeksha Rani Mali, a student of Karchamal SSD Girls Higher Secondary School under Kosagumuda block, topped the district with 558 marks, securing 98 percent.
In the Arts stream, differently-abled student Tikesh Sahu of Panabeda Higher Secondary School under Chandahandi block secured 535 marks with 89.16 percent.
In the Commerce stream, Rajesh Nag of Dhodipani Higher Secondary School secured 548 marks with 91.33 percent, bringing pride to the district.
The District Collector encouraged the students and wished them a bright future, stating that they are a source of inspiration for others. Officials from various departments congratulated and welcomed the students for bringing recognition and glory to both the district and the state through their achievements.
The District Collector felicitated the students with certificates of appreciation, gifts and mementos.
Among those present at the felicitation ceremony were PA, ITDA Rajib Sahu, District Welfare Officer Rabindra Pa, District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, District Information and Public Relations Officer Manoj Behera, Additional District Welfare Officer Bharat Chandra Sahu, Additional District Welfare Officer Nibedita Biswal, along with the parents of the meritorious students and principals of the respective schools.
The District Welfare Officer organized and conducted the felicitation programme.
