Dabugaon Members of the Dabugaon Mission Shakti Mahasangha submitted a memorandum to the Block Development Officer (BDO).
On Thursday, the Dabugaon Block Mission Shakti Mahasangha of Nabarangpur district handed over a memorandum to BDO Sarat Majhi. The EC (Executive Committee) members working under Dabugaon Block Mission Shakti requested that, as per the government letter dated the 27th, the reconstitution process of EC members should be temporarily halted.
The EC members, who are currently in debt under the scooter scheme, appealed to the government to show compassion toward them and allow them to continue working for three years, in accordance with the new guidelines. This demand was already submitted earlier, on the 31st, through a press conference.
According to the rules, each EC member is eligible to serve for three years. However, most of the EC members currently working under the Dabugaon block have not yet completed their three-year term. Therefore, the memorandum suggested that revisions in the reconstitution process could benefit everyone.
Present during the submission of the memorandum were Block Mission Shakti Mahasangha President Savitri Kalar, Secretary Nilendri Bishoai, Bharati Majhi, Priyadarshini Patra, Shakuntala Nayak, Mamata Harijan, Padmini Harijan, and other EC members.
