July 6 (UDN): Heavy rainfall has caused severe waterlogging at the Swapneswar Mahadev Temple in Cuttack district, with around four feet of water entering the temple premises.

Despite the difficult conditions, devotees and priests have continued performing daily rituals and prayers inside the flooded temple complex. Many worshippers were seen standing in water while offering prayers, showing strong devotion even as normal movement inside the temple has been disrupted.

The flooding is part of widespread rain-induced waterlogging across the region. Authorities are monitoring the situation and assessing drainage conditions in and around the temple area.

Officials have advised the public to avoid visiting heavily waterlogged locations until conditions improve, as continued rainfall may worsen the situation further in low-lying areas.
