Nandapur ,4th Oct 2025: The Dussehra festival is being celebrated with devotion and grandeur in Nandapur, with all traditional rituals (Nitikanti Vidhi) being observed. Every goddess shrine in the block area, including those in rural villages, is immersed in festivity.
At the Hundi Devi Peeth in the rural region, the Nitikanti ritual of Saptami was held on Monday. At the Batri Batrisa Singhasan Peeth, the Mahishasura Mardini form of Maa Durga was adorned with silver ornaments and weapons, presenting a majestic sight.
Following the Saptami puja rituals, devotees were offered darshan of the goddess in her resplendent form.
The entire town is decked with strings of decorative lights, enhancing the festive atmosphere and adding charm to the Dussehra celebrations.
More festivities and rituals are scheduled to continue on Tuesday.
