Bhubaneswar, May 21: Female students once again emerged ahead in the annual Plus Two examinations as the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, declared results for Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational streams, showcasing strong academic performance across the state. The results reflected a consistent trend of girls outperforming boys in key streams, underlining growing academic excellence among female students in Odisha.

In the Commerce stream, the overall pass percentage stood at 88.07 per cent, with girls recording an impressive 90.43 per cent pass rate, surpassing boys, who secured 86.67 per cent. The performance highlighted continued academic strength among girl students in commerce education.

The Science stream registered an overall pass percentage of 88.80 per cent. While boys achieved a pass percentage of 87.41 per cent, girls also recorded a strong performance, reflecting high success rates in one of the state’s most competitive academic streams.

Similarly, the Vocational and Technical stream posted an overall pass percentage of 71.49 per cent. Female candidates outperformed their male counterparts with a pass percentage of 83.43 per cent, compared to 71.49 per cent among boys, indicating growing participation and success of girls in skill-based education.

The declaration of results has brought relief and excitement to thousands of students and parents across Odisha, with education stakeholders describing the outcome as a positive indicator of improving academic performance and gender progress in higher secondary education.
