Navarangpur, Dec, 11: The Child Marriage-Free India Campaign was officially launched at Sarojini Mandap and Kalyan Mandap, Navarangpur, organized jointly by the District Administration, District Social Welfare Department, and Association for Voluntary Action.
The program was inaugurated by District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain, who participated as the chief guest. He emphasized that efforts should be made to eradicate child marriage and that it requires coordinated action at all levels.
During the program, several officials shared their views, including District Social Welfare Officer Smt. Draupadi Kahur, P.A.I.T.D.A. officer Rajiv Sahu, District Child Protection Officer Suresh Patnaik, and District Welfare Officer Palaka Ravindra.
Students from various blocks participated and presented cultural programs as part of the campaign. The event also included speeches by Chandana Malik as the announcer.
Other participants included Kishori Patnaik, Sarita Pani, and members from Sakhwan Stop Center, Pravasini Patnaik from Angan Trust, and Bikram Rana and other members from Piramal Foundation.
