Koraput:Sept 28 [UDN}: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday visited the flood-affected areas of Kotpad in Koraput district and reviewed the situation in Pirinji village, which has been impacted by recent heavy rainfall and flooding.
During his visit, the Chief Minister took stock of the ground situation and interacted with local residents to understand the difficulties being faced by people due to the flood. He sought information about the impact of the flooding on daily life and the assistance being provided to affected families.
After reviewing the situation in Pirinji, Chief Minister Majhi had a simple meal of dal at the village, during his interaction with the local people. The meal was part of his field visit as he engaged directly with residents of the affected area.
Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari was also present during the visit. Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra and Nabarangpur MLA Gouri Shankar Majhi accompanied the Chief Minister and the Revenue Minister during the field assessment.
The leaders reviewed the prevailing conditions in the flood-affected areas and took stock of the problems being faced by residents. They also assessed relief and response measures being undertaken for people affected by the recent spell of heavy rain and flooding.
The Chief Minister’s field visit focused on assessing the situation at the grassroots level, understanding the immediate needs of affected families and reviewing the ongoing relief and restoration efforts in the Kotpad region.
