Balipatna Sees Strong Protest by Dalit Adivasi Union for Their Rights

Balipatna: A protest rally was organized today by the National Dalit Adivasi Mahasangh, Odisha, starting from Balipatna Square. The demonstration peacefully proceeded up to the Balipatna Police Station, where a sit-in protest (dharna) was also held.

The protesters raised allegations against the Balipatna Police Station authorities, accusing them of intentionally delaying the registration of cases related to caste-based atrocities against members of the Scheduled Castes community for several months. Along with this, they presented various demands seeking justice and action.

Litu Das, State President

Tikina Parida, Women’s Secretary

Kavita Bhoi, along with other prominent members

Around 200 women and men from the organization actively participated in the protest.
