B. R. Ambedkar Remembered on His Ambedkar Jayanti in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur, April 18: The birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar was observed with due respect by the district administration and the District Information & Public Relations Department.
In the morning, District Planning Board Chairman and MLA Gouri Shankar Majhi, Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain, Additional Collector Tapan Kumar Khuntia, Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra, and Municipality Chairman Kudu Nayak paid floral tributes to the statue of Dr. Ambedkar.
Later, a commemorative meeting was held at Raja Chaitanyadev Nodal High School conference hall. Eminent speakers including former Bar Association President Narasinghanath Tripathy, intellectual Prakash Chandra Nag, and former Bar Association President Siraj Ahmed addressed the gathering.
The event was coordinated by DIPRO Manoj Behera along with teachers Ranjan Kumar Mahapatra and Sushanta Sahu. Officials and staff of the DIPRO office also extended their support, while SDPRO Satya Pradhan delivered the vote of thanks.
On this occasion, various political parties, organizations, and social groups also paid tribute at Ambedkar Chowk. Prominent attendees included Chandradhwaj Majhi, Lalit Mohan Nayak, District Congress Committee President Dr. Lipika Majhi, former MLA Bhujabal Majhi, Muna Tripathy, Bar Association President Sirajuddin Ahmed, and several others.
Similarly, at the Congress Bhavan, leaders including Pradeep Sahu and Chhandacharan Sadangi gathered to remember and pay homage to Dr. Ambedkar.
