Mumbai: There is no doubt about the love and compassion Anant Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, has for animals and the environment. However, an incident on Tuesday left many surprised.
While Anant was on a 140-km-long padayatra (foot march) from Jamnagar to Dwarka along with his team, he came across a truck carrying 260 chickens to a slaughterhouse. Upon seeing this, Anant stopped the vehicle and inquired about the price of the chickens. He then offered to pay double the amount to purchase them. The truck owner agreed, after which Anant bought all the chickens and set them free.
One chicken, in particular, was seen walking alongside him for some time.
This act of kindness by Anant Ambani has garnered widespread admiration and appreciation from various quarters.
