Malkangiri April. 30:: Marked a occasion for the Malkangiri district judiciary. The District Bar Association celebrated the birth anniversary of Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das along with Lawyers’ Day with great enthusiasm.
On this occasion, a grand ceremony was organized to felicitate the newly appointed judges of the Malkangiri District and Sessions Court. The event was held in the Bar Association Hall परिसर of the Malkangiri District Court in the morning.
The program was presided over by Bar Association President Pritpal Singh, and was attended by both senior and junior lawyers of the district. The event began with floral tributes to Madhusudan Das, remembering his immense contributions as Odisha’s first graduate, first advocate, and a प्रमुख figure in Odia identity.
Inspired by his ideals, all lawyers took a pledge to uphold justice with integrity and dedication. On the occasion of Lawyers’ Day, a discussion session was also held on the role of advocates in the justice delivery system, their ethics, and social responsibilities.
The event was attended by the Additional District Judge, CJM, SDJM, other judicial officers, government advocates, public prosecutors, and members of the Bar Association. A tree plantation drive was also conducted as part of the कार्यक्रम.
At the conclusion of the event, senior advocates who have been practicing law for over 50 years were honored. With the joining of new judges in the Malkangiri judiciary, there is hope that pending cases in the district will be resolved more swiftly.
