Berhampur, Nov 5 (UDN): Around 160 participants departed from Berhampur Railway Station aboard a special train bound for Ekta Nagar in Gujarat to participate in the national-level celebrations of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, organised to commaemorate the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On the occasion, I encouraged the participants, extended my best wishes and conveyed my heartfelt greetings for their safe and comfortable journey.
The delegation comprises representatives from Left-Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected regions who will take part in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations at Ekta Nagar. Their participation carries a significant message of national unity, peace, harmony and inclusive development.
Through their involvement in this important national event, these participants will represent the spirit of a changing India and convey a strong message of building a Naxal-free India, while highlighting the importance of development, progress, peace and prosperity in regions previously affected by Left-Wing Extremism.
The initiative also reflects the government’s commitment to bringing people from LWE-affected areas into the mainstream of national development, strengthening their connection with the country and inspiring them to contribute towards a peaceful, united and progressive India.
