Heatwave Alert: Authorities Order Closure of Schools, Colleges, and Anganwadi Centres in Nabarangpur from April 20 Until Further Notice

Nabarangpur, April 20:  Considering the severe heatwave, the District Collector of Nabarangpur has decided to keep all Anganwadi centers, government and private schools, colleges, and technical institutions closed from 20/04/2026 until further orders.In this regard, an official notice has been issued by the Office of the District Collector, Nabarangpur.

Dearness Allowance Increased by 2 percent, Bringing Financial Relief to Government Employees and Pensioners

Bhubaneswar, April 20:Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees has been increased by 2percent. It has gone up from 58% to 60%.The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal for this increase. The revised DA will be effective retrospectively from January 1.This decision will benefit central government employees and pensioners.
