Bhubaneswar, April,16: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has taken a major decision to strengthen early childhood education.
Universities will adopt Anganwadi centres.
To improve early childhood education, UGC has issued detailed guidelines.
Each university will adopt at least 5 to 6 Anganwadi centres.
UGC has written to all Vice-Chancellors and college principals informing them about this initiative.
A master plan has been prepared with a focus on early childhood education.
Students will benefit through fieldwork, social service, and internships.
University students will also assist in improving the education and health of young children.
