Road Safety Awareness Drive Conducted by Police and Transport Department in Malkangiri

Malkangiri:  April,16:  With road accidents increasing day by day in different areas of Malkangiri district, causing loss of lives and injuries, a special awareness initiative was undertaken.
To address this issue and promote road safety, the district police and the Regional Transport Department jointly organized a unique awareness campaign.
In this program, officials dressed as Yamraj (God of Death) and Yamdoots interacted with vehicle drivers and explained road safety rules in an engaging manner. At various important junctions across the town, drivers were stopped and educated about traffic rules, symbolically guided by “Yamraj” and “Chitragupta.”
Additionally:
Police distributed free helmets to drivers.
Drivers who were following traffic rules were appreciated and given rose flowers.
People were encouraged to strictly follow road safety norms while driving.
This creative initiative aimed to spread awareness effectively and reduce road accidents by encouraging responsible driving behavior.
