Preparatory Meeting for Torch Rally of District Festival–2026 Held at Maa Hingula Peetha

Pallahara,April 18: A preparatory meeting was held at Maa Hingula Peetha, Gopalprasad under the chairmanship of Sub-Collector Rabindra Kumar Patel regarding the upcoming torch procession for District Festival–2026.
As per the plan, the torch rally will begin on April 27 from Bus Stand, Khemala Chhak, Barakotia and will pass through Anugol Chhak, Nimiribeda Chhak, Khamar Bus Stand, Kantiapashi, and Bhaluki Temple before concluding its route.
During the meeting, discussions were held on organizing exhibitions in the rally showcasing various departments such as agriculture, horticulture, education, health, and child welfare. Officials from different departments, self-help groups, volunteers, and members of the public participated in the meeting and shared their views on the preparations for the torch procession and public participation.
It was also decided that on April 12, 2026 (Sunday) at 6:00 AM, the torch rally will commence. The procession will start from Khuludi and proceed through various villages including Jharbeda, Namapashi, Kandhala village chhak, Pallahara Shiva Temple, Maa Kundeibira Chhak (ATM Chhak), and other areas before heading towards Angul.
Several officials including the Tahasildar Akanksha Mishra, Deputy Collectors Bidyusmita Sahu and Soumya Shri Parida, IIC Pradeep Mohanty, and Sub-Divisional Information and Public Relations Officer Shobhit Kumar Bishi, along with other sub-divisional level officers and representatives, attended the meeting.
