Bhubaneswar, May 23: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has reduced his security convoy by half and significantly cut down the number of vehicles in his motorcade.
The Chief Minister’s security convoy is now limited to only 4 vehicles.
Earlier, around 7 vehicles used to be part of the Chief Minister’s convoy during travel.
Amid the fuel crisis being witnessed in the country, the Chief Minister took this major step following an appeal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister’s simplicity and cost-saving initiative is being widely appreciated across the state.
