Kolnara, April. 30:: ‘Swabhiman Diwas’ was celebrated today at Jagadamba Government Higher Secondary School by Sambad Ama Odisha. The event marked the birth anniversary of Madhusudan Das, remembering his contributions and ideals.
Kolnara BEO Manjulata Jena attended as the chief guest, while Acting Headmistress M. Anita was the guest of honour. Sanskrit teacher Dhananjaya Bagarti joined as the keynote speaker. Among others present were teachers Santoshi Tripathy, Sarita Panda, Nirmala Mandangi, Satya Prakash Das, Sudarshan Jani, Sanjulata Das, Chandra Lohar, and Rajesh Gamang.
In his address, the keynote speaker highlighted the significance of the day and appreciated the initiative of Sambad Ama Odisha for organizing ‘Swabhiman Diwas’ every year. He said that celebrating Madhubabu’s birth anniversary inspires people to follow his ideals and strengthens the sense of pride in Odia identity.
On the occasion of the 178th birth anniversary of Madhusudan Das, participants gathered on a common platform to commemorate his legacy. The event was coordinated by Kolnara block representative Rajendra Mishra with support from Nilesh Mishra.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sanskrit teacher Dhananjaya Bagarti.
