Bhubaneswar,  July 13 [UDN}:  While rainfall is already expected due to the influence of a trough line, rain is likely to continue across Odisha for the next five days.

The southwest monsoon remains active in the state, resulting in the possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in several districts over the coming days.

According to the Meteorological Department, one or two places in the state may also experience heavy rainfall during this period.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall is expected in several parts of the state, while heavy rainfall is likely in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh.

In addition, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Bargarh are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, along with wind speeds of 30 to 40 km per hour.

The Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow Warning for these districts in view of the expected weather conditions.
