Joint Awareness and Registration Camp Held at Gorakhunda Gram Panchayat in Malkangiri to Benefit Construction and Unorganised Workers

Bhubaneswar, April. 25:   A joint awareness and registration camp was successfully organized by the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board and the Odisha Unorganised Workers Social Security Board at the Gorakhunda Gram Panchayat office under Malkangiri block in Malkangiri.
A total of 91 workers attended the program and were made aware of government schemes and their rights. During the camp, 51 new online registrations were completed, along with 29 renewals and the reactivation of 21 previously inactive records.
The camp saw the participation of the local Sarpanch, Assistant Labour Officer, Panchayat Executive Officer, Jana Seva Kendra staff, data entry operators, and a large number of workers.
Such initiatives by the government are expected to further strengthen the social security and rights of workers.
